API terms

Programmatic access to the dark store dataset. Currently invitation-only - these terms become operative when access is granted.

1. Overview

The QuickCommerceMap API serves the same dark-store dataset that powers the public site, in machine-readable form, with rate-limited authenticated access. It's intended for customers who need to integrate the data into a product, an internal analytics stack, or a research pipeline and don't want to re-implement the snapshot delivery themselves.

The page you're reading is a public summary of the terms. The full operative document - which is the contractually binding text once you hold an active API key - lives at /legal/api-tos.

2. How to get access

The API is currently invitation-only while we ramp capacity. You can join the waitlist on the API page, or write directly to the founder via the contact form with two lines on what you'd build with it.

Approved customers receive an order form, a sandbox key for one week of evaluation, and the production key after the order form is signed. We do not sell anonymous access - every key is bound to a named organisation.

3. Tiers and rate limits

  • Dev (free, sandbox only): 1,000 requests / day, non-commercial use, single API key. For evaluation; not for production.
  • Pro: 10,000 requests / day, commercial use, webhook notifications on monthly snapshot release, business-hours email support.
  • Enterprise: Custom rate limits, multi-key support, dedicated Slack channel, SLA-backed availability, custom endpoints, optional VPC peering. Annual contract.

Rate limits are enforced per-key per-day on a rolling 24-hour window. Customers exceeding limits get HTTP 429 responses with a Retry-After header - not silent throttling.

4. Authentication

Access requires an API key passed in the Authorization: Bearer <key> header. Keys are organisation-scoped and rotatable on request. Customers are responsible for keeping API keys confidential. Suspected key compromise must be reported to support@quickcommercejobs.com immediately so we can rotate. Compromised keys are revoked within 1 hour of report.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the API to scrape or reconstruct the underlying database in bulk for redistribution
  • Resell raw API responses without a separate redistribution agreement
  • Run the API as a competing public indexing service
  • Probe for security vulnerabilities outside an agreed responsible-disclosure scope
  • Share API keys across organisations
  • Use the API for any purpose unlawful under Indian law

Acceptable-use violations result in key suspension after one warning, revocation without refund for repeat violations.

6. SLA and availability

We target 99.5% monthly availability for paid tiers, measured at the API edge. Enterprise customers may negotiate stricter SLAs in the order form.

Planned maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance via email and the API status endpoint. Unplanned incidents trigger an incident page within 15 minutes and a postmortem within 7 days.

7. Data freshness

Snapshot frequency depends on tier (monthly for Pro, weekly or daily for Enterprise). The API exposes a last_refreshed_at field on every record so you always know how fresh the data is. We do not warrant real-time accuracy of the underlying market data — see the disclaimer.

8. Attribution

Customers who publish analysis, charts, or reports derived from API data must attribute the source as "Data from QuickCommerceMap.com" (with a link where the medium allows). Customers building internal-only tools have no attribution requirement. Enterprise customers integrating the dataset into a public product must include attribution per the order form.

9. Fees and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in INR via Razorpay (or USD via Stripe for international customers), in advance. Late payments may result in API key suspension after 7 days' notice. Refunds for unused full-month service are issued for genuine billing errors; otherwise subscriptions are non-refundable.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate for material breach not cured within 30 days. We may terminate immediately for abuse, security incidents, or acceptable-use violations. On termination, customers must stop using the API, delete cached data within 30 days, and remove any attribution claiming current API access.

11. Support and incident response

Pro customers get business-hours email support with a 1-business-day SLA. Enterprise customers get a dedicated Slack channel with same-business-day response. Security incidents are triaged immediately regardless of tier.

12. Governing terms

The full API Terms of Service are the operative document. By holding an active API key you accept those terms in full. Indian law governs; Gurugram courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
